all these years and I'm still an anders hater, but I couldn't care less that he blew up a church. I just hate him for being an absolutely awful person to merrill, fenris, isabela and aveline, and a horrible friend to hawke. I can excuse terrorism but I draw the line at everyday mean-spiritedness.

So based even on Downfall my opinion is little changed that Ludinus’ plan to release the god eater Predathos so it might eat the gods is a bad plan. He has no plan -even a fake one- as to how to control Predathos. It’s just “trust me brethren”.
He doesn’t care about collateral damage at all, based on all available evidence. We know that the titans helped deal with Predathos, why did they do that? Was it cuz they were friends with the gods, an agreement was made, or did it threaten them as well? We don’t know so it could be any of those or something else. Regardless, we know that Predathos warps life, we’ve seen it in many places. Mainly the Savalirwood around ruined Molaesmyr and on Ruidus it’s prison. In the Ruidusborn who are clearly transforming the more connected and more power they draw from Predathos. But clearly Predathos can affect reality in intense ways.
That’s just Predathos. What about everything else out in the cosmos? Tharizdun isn’t a god, and is just hunger too. Just wants annihilation of everything, which the gods prevent. Demons might precede gods, and they are malevolent. There’s all sorts of shit in the astral sea, the Fey wild, etc. Is Exandria ready to deal with that on its own? (What’s the plan Ludi?!) How about ascension, Vecna did it without even replacing a god. Those rights don’t seem to have been erased like the Matrons, who btw proves that something about mortals allows them to become gods. Could that attract Predathos to them? Back to Vecna. Do we just hope Predathos comes back to kill that god? Or is it different because they started as mortals? Why? How about all the pissed of followers whose god got eaten? What the plan with them?
All that said. The main thing we learned from Downfall/the orb is the gods greatly value their own survival. They are living beings who want to survive. They were willing to tear down the divine gate to deal with Vecna if VM couldn’t seal him. They destroyed Aeor for trying to make a weapon which could potentially kill them. How far would they go to stop Predathos, who eats them?!
Exandria and life on it might survive Predathos being unleashed. The disasters and massive radical changes however will likely not be pleasant to live through. Why in the world would anyone go along with a plan that has no consideration for how to deal with any of the problems it unleashes? Other than foolishness or thoughtless rage?

Chihiro and Kokichi with a crush on someone who acts like Kyoko Kirigiri
Warnings: Major spoilers to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony! You have been warned!
A/N: Been rewatching playthroughs of the games while I was sick and got the itch to write something! There was so much more I wanted to do with Chihiro's part, but kind of backed myself into a corner when I decided to write this taking place during the killing game. No worries though, I plan to write a bunch more Chihiro x reader content in the future! ( Can you tell I love Chihiro? Lmao- )
Tumblr media
↪ Off rip, Chihiro was very intimidated by you. Your stone cold exterior and the general vibe you gave off was kinda scary to him.
↪ He didn't talk to you at all during the first couple of days, simply watching and observing you whenever you made your presence known/whenever you spoke.
↪ During the first class trial, you absolutely owned it. You constantly kept everyone on track and gave them clues to help them figure out the mystery themselves and diverted them from anything that led them to the incorrect truth. You helped everyone crack the case without flat out giving them the answers and he found that really cool of you.
↪ When Leon's execution came, Chihiro felt a swarm of negative emotions to the point he couldn't contain his tears. It was terrible, all of it was. Even if Leon killed Sayaka and even though Sayaka attempted to muder Leon, he couldn't help but feel bad for the both of them..
↪ That following day or two, he was in a rather gloomy mood. Everyone was. After the events of what happened, he couldn't really stomach much food. It was a small thing and Chihiro thought no one had cared to notice his lack of appetite, but he was surprised that someone did; you did. One morning, he was presented with a large portion of a simple meal by none other than the stone cold mystery themselves.
↪ "Eat it if you'd like. If you don't trust it, that's fine too," Was all you said to him, but it made his heart do a backflip regardless. He didn't understand it, but the scene kept playing in his mind the rest of the morning which kept him red in the face the entire time..
↪ After that, Chihiro started observing you even more and he started picking up on the small things about you. How, although most of the others misinterpret your intentions, you truly don't mean harm to anyone and just want to find the way out like everyone else. You're actually really sweet but your tight-lipped and mysterious nature just throws everyone in the wrong direction, he thinks.
↪ The more he watched you and the more he interacted with you, ( although interactions with you didn't happen often ) the more his heart fluttered until it eventually evolved into something bigger. At first, he thought what he was feeling for you was simply admiration until one of the others pointed it out to him one day. The way he speaks about you with such passion, the way he sometimes stares at you like a puppy wanting attention, the amount of times he's caught staring at you.. To them, it was painfully obvious that he was crushing on you!
↪ Even with the knowledge of his crush on you, Chihiro made no attempt to act on it. For one, you two are in a killing game and you're probably way more worried about figuring out the mastermind and getting out of here than getting a partner and two, he was too embarrassed to. The last thing he wanted was for you to laugh or berate or be disgusted by him for pretending to be a girl because of how weak and sensitive he was.. ( The last thing he wants is to confess under the rouse of a girl anyway. )
↪ This ( along with the embarrassing secret motive ) ultimately boosted his motivation to achieve his goal; to get stronger. Once he's strong enough to protect you and his friends from any danger, then he'll tell you how he feels!
↪ He was determined, and unfortunately, that determination ultimately led to his untimely demise. It was ironic, especially with that conversation you had with him that afternoon prior..
↪ "I've decided! I have no other choice but to get stronger. I'll try my hardest and..! And when I do, I would like to talk to you about something very important, okay?" He had told you, eyes burning with uncharacteristic fire. It was..certainly a look for him. ( One that may or may not have made your heart do a few tricks without your permission.. ) And you remembered briefly mutter something to him about staying safe and not overdoing it..
↪ If only you had offered to join him. Maybe things would've went differently..
↪ Huh, how odd. It's not like you to be sentimental like this. Actually, as of late, a lot of things you've been doing have been out of character for you.. Honestly, what has gotten into you lately?
↪ Well, there's no time to dawdle on it right now. You have to seek justice for Chihiro. With the clues you've gathered, you already have a sneaking suspicion of who the culprit is..
Tumblr media
↪ You immediately spiked Kokichi's interest. The fact that you didn't give him any information about yourself intrigued him. It was as if you had something to hide..
↪ When it came out that everyone would be participating in a killing game, Kokichi was surprised by how well you kept it together. Unlike everyone else who were in denial, you wholeheartedly believed the kubs and kept a levelhead about the whole ordeal. It was as if it didn't affect you at all..
↪ "You seem oddly calm about this. Don't tell me you're actually some psycho and was waiting on something like this." He said to you only to get silence in return as you outright ignored him.
↪ For the first day or two he observed you, but he quickly decided to take a more upfront approach and was all in your face. He was always trying to poke and prod and tease information out of you, but you never caved. He couldn't get under your skin at all.
↪ But he did, at least, get your name.
↪ When the first murder finally happened, you again, didn't panic. While everyone else were screaming their heads off, you talked to Monokuma, verifying things about the upcoming class trial before immediately starting your investigation.
↪ When the trial came about, you kept calm. As if you had done this a million times, you helped guide everyone. You gave hints and helped paint a clear picture of what happened. When everyone began to deny the truth, you, along with Kaede, helped everyone come to grips with reality.
↪ And then, when the killer was executed, you didn't freak out. He also noticed you saying something to Shuichi before swiftly leaving to go god knows where.
↪ And just like that his interest in you hit it's peak.
↪ He began speculating. What could you possibly be hiding? Why are you the way you are? How many times has something like this happened to you? Do you hold the key of getting out of here?
↪ Could you be the mastermind behind this? It's definitely a possibility..
↪ After the trial, Kokichi officially set his sights on you. He began to bug you even more.
↪ He would drag you around places and rope you into his shenanigans. To everyone else, it may have just looked like Kokichi was just doing it for the fun of it or to annoy you, but in actuality, he was doing it in an attempt to get a feel for your personality. He wanted to know what made you tick and what didn't. But alas, you were harder to crack than he expected.
↪ So, he began stalking you.
↪ Everytime you distanced yourself from the others and disappeared for long periods of time, he would try to follow after you, however..
↪ "Kokichi. I know you're there."
↪ ..he never got far before he was found out.
↪ Then the second murder rolled around and the cycle repeated. The body discovery announcement played, you gave no reaction to it, disappeared to start your own investigation, and carried the class trial.
↪ After the trial and execution, ( and after you saved his butt from Maki's wrath after he exposed a certain secret of hers ) he approached you with the supposed intention of wanting to be your friend. ( Although he worded it more as him wanting you to be his sidekick ) He didn't give you ang room to deny his friendship and before you knew it, he was shamelessly latched to you like some annoying pest.
↪ Almost everywhere you went, he attempted to tag along. Of course, if you were going on one of your little side investigations, you gave him the slip and he wouldn't be able to find you for a while.
↪ Other than that, you humored him. He talks your ear off and the conversations between you two are more or less one sided but he can tell you're listening to every little word he said and didn't mind his presence. Although he doesn't know much about you, he's gotten to know you enough to know that when you don't want to talk to someone, you'll make it very clear to them that you don't want to talk to them.
↪ And then something most bewildering happened. Shuichi gave you a gift.
↪ "How did you know I liked this?" Kokichi heard you say before you accepted the gift, "Uh..lucky guess? I honestly had no idea. It just seemed like something you'd like." He heard him say..
↪ "I see.. Well, thank you."
↪ Like the stalker he is, he watched the whole interaction and to Kokichi's surprise, he felt..odd watching you two interact. Although it wasn't the most intense feeling, it certainly wasn't a pleasant one..
↪ Anyways, the third murder rolls around and shortly after it happened, he stepped on a faulty floor board and..yeah y'all know what happened to him.
↪ When you and Shuichi found him, he was laid out on the floor and bleeding profusely from the head. Shuichi was startled at first, thinking he was dead, but upon him sitting up, the detective slowly stopped caring.
↪ Chuckling to himself, ( and feeling the very, very strong urge to vomit ) Kokichi stumbled to his feet. However, as soon as he did, you grabbed him by the arm..
↪ "You shouldn't move around so much. You likely have a concussion."
↪ "What..are you talking about? I'm..fine! Just..eheh.. Just peachy.." Another obvious lie. Honestly, what does he expect to gain from acting like this?
↪ After he let that ridiculous statement tumble from his lips, you forced him onto your back with ease. ( As expected, he's very light ) After telling Shuichi to continue his investigation, you left with Kokichi riding on your back.
↪ "Heyyyy, where are we going.. Do you plan to..to take me out while I'm like this..how..cruel, nishi..hi..heh.."
↪ You ended up taking him all the way back to your dorm because you remembered that you had some medical supplies lying around that you found while out on one of your side investigations. They weren't the best, but it was enough to make sure Kokichi wouldn't bleed out and die.
↪ With quick and kinda rough movements, you bandages up his head and the entire time you were supposed to spend investigating ended being spent in your room. After you finished bandaging his head, you dimmed the lights and applied a makeshift cold compress ( which you made by stuffing some ice in a bag and wrapping the bag in a thin towel ) to his head.
↪ Your eyes were completely on him the entire time and something about that made the displeasing feeling he felt before swell into something lighter and fluffier in his chest and around his heart. He didn't know what it was, but he's certain that he loved hated the feeling with a passion and hoped to never feel it again. Oh the lies he tells even himself
↪ The trial rolls around, and although you were kind of in the backseat for some time, you still managed to crack the case wide open. Well, with some help from Shuichi that is.
↪ Speaking of which, after the trial and execution, Kokichi began to notice the most bewildering thing; little Shuichi was getting oddly close to you.
↪ Like, a day or two after the trial, he saw you outside with Shuichi, Maki, and Kaito. You seemed to be working out with them but he took note of how you seemed the most responsive with Shuichi.
↪ An uncomfortable feeling bubbled in his chest, but even so, Kokichi, who had begun to slowly come to grips and realize his attraction towards you, pretended like he was fine. So what if you're hanging out with Shuichi? Lately, the detective has started to peak his interest and he plans to befriend him just like he did with you. Once he achieves that, he'll have you back and he'll have Shuichi to himself too!
↪ But alas, things didn't go as planned. Shuichi, untrusting of him, didn't want to be his friend. How sad..
↪ But he's not one to give up so easily. He'll find a way to rope him into this little game of his..one way or another.
↪ Fourth trial comes and the truth is revealed that Kokichi had a part in Miu's murder. Upon revealing the truth to everyone and completely ruining all the fun of the mystery, you seemed to be the one person to initially believe him. ( Although he noticed you seemed uncharacteristically bothered about the whole ordeal )
↪ Then Shuichi helped you further reveal what happened, forcing everyone to believe what really happened was the truth and that Gonta was the blackened. ( Gosh, it was agitating how in sync you two were )
↪ After the trial ended, things escalated. Kaito and Kokichi got into it and Kaito ended up lunging at Kokichi. However, it seemed the ultimate supreme leader was stronger than he let on ( or maybe something else is at play here.. ) and he ended up throwing his own punch which sent Kaito flying to the ground.
↪ That's when the others finally intervened.
↪ Shuichi, angered by everything that had happened, screamed at Kokichi. He yelled and fussed about how he was horrible and had no friends and how he had no one to turn to because he was horrible and blah blah blah.
↪ Kokichi didn't care much for his speech, ( it was nothing he hasn't been told already ) but his eyes seemed to drift to you. Unlike everyone else, you hadn't jumped to Kaito's defense nor were you screaming at him. In fact, you just stood in the back, watching with that iron expression of yours. How..like you..it was to do that, he thought.
↪ When he left, you followed after him.
↪ "That was quite the show you put on back there. Tell me, Kokichi. What are you planning?" You had asked him.
↪ "Heh, wellll since it's you I feel the sudden urge to spill everything, nishi~! ..Hm, fine then. I'll tell you for a kiss right here on the cheek, nishishishi~!" And then he saw it. For only a split second, he saw the surprise flash across your face. He saw your brows twitch and your eyes widen. He saw your cheeks flush.
↪ He finally saw you truly caught off guard and it was the cutest thing he's ever been able to witness. It's disgusting how much he's grown to like you, he thought. Not really.
↪ You didn't see him for a few days after the trial. You had no idea where he went, but you didn't bother wasting your time searching for him. Not that you could, with Kaito breathing down your neck wanting you to hang out with him, Shuichi, and Maki, you never found the reason or necessary time to go and look for him. ( But for some odd reason, you couldn't stop thinking about him. )
↪ And then he showed his face at last and when he did, he had weapons in tow.
↪ He claimed that he wanted to help end the killing game but of course no one believed him. Maki, who was at her wits end with the male, jumped to attack him and you, of course, jumped to his rescue.
↪ "Why do you always protect him? Are you two working together?" She questioned, her fiery crimson hues staring into you like sharpened blades.
↪ "..." Your silence gave nothing away as you stared back at her with your own icy gaze, gripping her by the arm as you awaited for her to release Kokichi.
↪ She let him go eventually.
↪ Kokichi then went on to explain what the weapons he persuaded Miu to make did ( the "electrohammers" as he put it ) before saying he'll no longer intervene with the others and their plans and leaving.
↪ And without a second thought, you followed after him which automatically labeled you a traitor in certain peoples' eyes. ( Cough cough Maki and Himiko cough cough )
↪ Alas, you quickly lost sight of him despite your tailing. But you couldn't give up now. He knows something and you're determined to find out what that something was.
↪ But all your efforts got you nowhere. You looked everywhere but couldn't find him, however when you finally reconvened with the others they all seemed oddly..depressed about something.
↪ You questioned each of them but only Shuichi would explain what happened while you were gone. Apparently, they used the electrohammers to cross that Death Road and found a large hatch that led outside. They got it opened but what they saw was simply despair-inducing..
↪ Everything was destroyed, there wasn't even air to breath out there. To put it simply, it was the end of the world.
↪ And the supposed mastermind behind the killing game had finally shown themselves and it was none other than the Ultimate Supreme Leader himself; Kokichi Ouma.
↪ But the whole story seemed..odd to you. Something about it simply didn't sit right ( especially with the evidence you had gathered while secretly investigating this place ) and in the end you incurred that at least some part of what went down was a lie. ( And you had a sneaking suspicion of which part it was )
↪ You ended up disappearing after that to do some more investigating. You spent the entire evening, night, and following morning digging up what you could. It was a shame it was cut short in one of the worst ways possible..
↪ "A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time that you can spend however you'd like, the class trial will begin!" You certainly wasn't expecting that. And at a time like this..
↪ You make it to the crime scene soon after that and waste no time investigating. Everyone is certain that Kaito was the one who was murdered, but until you gather the clues and come to a collective verdict at the class trial, nothing is certain. ( Although, there's this sense of dread that's beginning to bubble at the pit of your stomach. You're hoping—praying—that it's not because of what you think it is.. )
↪ And then the class trial comes and for the first time, you were uncertain. You had a possibility or two, but with the clues presented, you weren't sure of anything..
↪ And after a long time of going back forth and around in circles, Kokichi's plan was finally revealed. His true goal was to end the killing game by making an unsolvable case where you aren't able to figure out who was murdered and who was the culprit.
↪ But then new evidence came about. Maki's confession and the video tape along with Shuichi's deductions helped you make a vital connection and that connection helped crack the entire case wide open. ( Because of you, Kokichi's final efforts were in vain.. )
↪ After the trial, no one was happy. I mean, how could they be? The blackened was Kaito. Aside from that, for some reason, you just seemed a little too upset. Something about the entire situation, about Kokichi's entire plan to kill himself for the chance to end this killing game, to stop the suffering, it made your heart sting. It effected you more than you would've liked and Kaito seemed to notice that.
↪ "I know you really liked him, Y/n," He told you, "He really liked you too. He never outright admitted it, but I could tell.. He wouldn't stop talking about ya'! Even..even in his final moments.."
↪ Was that supposed to make you feel better? Because it didn't. All it did was make things worse. You wish he would've just kept that to himself. Kokichi was thinking of you until the very end? What was the point of putting that painful thought into your head? It was unnecessary.
↪ And so, as soon as Kaito's execution was over. You fled the scene, silently but hurriedly. You knew why, but you didn't want to accept it. To accept that you left in such a rush because you couldn't keep your emotions in check..
↪ Ugh, that damn Kokichi! Could he have been anymore selfish? Forcing his way into your life, making you feel such wonderful inconvenient emotions, only to snatch all of it away and leaving you with the miserable feeling of anguish..
↪ He was truly the worst, you thought.

Danganronpa Opinions
Tumblr media
WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL...
(I mean none of this with offense and I'm not targetting in any way shape or form btw-)
THH:
. Chihiro is VERY overrated.
. Off topic but it's canon Taka can sing, he wants Sayaka to teach him to sing so he can project his voice, and his Japanese VA is amazing at singing, and his English VA is Kinger in TADC (which I don't know much about but heard a song and imagined Taka singing it - which made me laugh -)
. Sayaka is underrated and over hated.
. Some of the executions aren't that good, and Celeste's was good and theatrical, but she (technically) killed 2 people and deserved to suffer a bit more.
. Toko is bad in THH and highly overrated if people like her and haven't seen her in UDG.
. Kiyotaka is annoying and loud even in his FTEs (He's like... my favourite character but I HAVE TO BE HONEST I WOULDN'T BE FRIENDS WITH HIM IRL-)
. Byakuya and Kyoko are EXTREMELY OVERRATED!!!! (If Byakuya has no haters I'm dead-)
. The survivors were so uninteresting, Hiro did almost nothing the whole time, and after Chapter 4 Aoi seemed to outlive her usefulness. She's still cool though, but also overrated.
. TRIAL 3 WAS WORSE THAN TRIAL 5 AND YOU CAN'T CHANGE MY MIND.
. 11037 is still kind of funny, but only in context and not for making fun of Leon as a character.
. Sayaka haters are just mad for no reason... leave her alone gang-
. Junko was a terrible choice for a master-mind, they should've given fake Junko more development before killing her off. I forgot about her after Chapter Two.
. Byakuya x Anybody is a terrible ship, especially Makoto x Byakuya.
. Celesgiri have chemistry, but no interactions that make us ship them.
. LEON, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND THE MANGA EXPLAINS IT IS SELF DEFENSE.
SDR2:
. Nagito is actually kind of annoying... he was better in Chapter One, but he did make the game 10x more interesting.
. Nekomaru > Ibuki
. Peko is a cool character but not as loveable as the fans see her to be.
. Hinanami is ONLY platonic, nothing else.
. SDR2 TRIAL 3 IS NOT AS BAD AS EVERYBODY SAYS
. This may be exclusive to me but Trial 4 was stupidly difficult (I knew who the killer was and didn't get it because I'm a fucking moron.)
. Mikan and Hiyoko are both equally as annoying as eachother, but Hiyoko is much more upfront about it.
. MIKAN HAD A TRASH EXECUTION AND THIS OPINION ISN'T GONNA GET ME SHOT IN THE HEAD!!!
. Souda x Gundham is a bad ship... even the Voice Actor of Tanaka says so.
. Chiaki is slightly overrated.
. AI Junko is mid.
. Kamakura should have gotten more development, and is overrated.(I haven't seen the anime)
V3: (Updated version btw)
. I love V3, it's the best game
. Maki>Kyoko
. They shouldn't have killed Kaede off early, for her development as a character, but it was necessary to do so.
. Rantaro's overrated and him and Ryoma NEEDED MORE DEVELOPMENT.
.Tsumugi best mm real???
. Gonta is overrated.
. The Motive-Video for chapter two is a reused from chapter one THH, did they run out of ideas? If so, how did they recreate Danganronpa 53 times without the audience getting bored?
. Traffic Light (HimokoxAngiexTenko) is a bad ship because though Himiko cares for them both, Tenko doesn't like Angie much. (from what I've seen)
. They should've gotten in some new VAs for V3, I love Shuichi but I can only hear Leon in his voice...

Rio Vidal’s über cool, foolproof* way to make a baby (no men required)
*Rio Vidal takes no responsibility for your terrible execution
—————————————
Alice wasn’t sure what exactly possessed her to talk to Rio, but she couldn’t keep the story straight. Jen had told her and Lilia that Cassandra was Agatha’s daughter. Jen had no reason to lie, no motive Alice could see. Cassandra had called Rio “mum” in the trial. There was clearly some sort of connection between Agatha and Rio, but the fury was so palpable, so heavy and intense that Alice had drawn the conclusion that something was wrong about her information. Surely no one was that into hate sex?
“Excuse me, Rio?” Alice asked. Rio perked up and stopped stabbing the bark of a tree. “Hey, Alice, was it?” Rio smiled. “Yeah. Are you good? Agatha’s being… more Agatha-y than normal. Do you need someone to talk to?” Alice sat herself onto a rock, inviting Rio to sit next to her.
“We almost named Cass after Lorna, you know?”
Alice paused. We? “Who’s we?” She asked. “Agatha and I.” Rio clarified. She laughed at the look on Alice’s face. “We were a thing, if you care to know. Don’t listen to whatever bull crap Jennifer Kale wants to tell you about us.” She added. Alice had to admit, she saw Rio’s point. Jen may be sweet to her and Lilia, but she doesn’t hold her opinions to herself very well. Especially not about Cassandra or Agatha.
“So Cassandra is… made of your magic?” Alice asked. “That’s right.” Rio nodded. “How is that… even possible?” Alice questioned. It questioned every aspect of magic she knew. Could life be… faked? Is Cassandra, the girl she’s gotten so friendly with, an illusion? “Agatha may be sick, demented, all that sexy shit, but at the end of the day she is powerful. Really powerful, and so am I.”
Every question burned in Alice’s throat, but Rio had already started walking. “Fun talking to ya, little Wu!”
“Nobody in this fucking coven explains anything.”

what do you think of the uchihas (the most important. madara. izuna .sasukr. shisui. itachi...+your OCs the brothers of madara) '' your opinions and your thoughts '' just to know 🤭
I’m going to stick to canon Uchiha simply for time and idk what to say about my own in the same context
Madara
Like it or not, he was kinda right 😬 interesting idea, TERRIBLE execution. He’s a bit cocky (rightfully so) but i love him and he has one of my favorite smiles, look at him 😆
Tumblr media
Izuna
I can’t stand him. To me, he’s the devil and angel on Madara’s shoulders and he wants problems, always 💀
Tumblr media
Itachi
I’m not going to sit here and act like he didn’t do some horrible and dumb things, causing more harm than good. This guy could have solved a lot a things by opening his mouth. But he looks cool and I’m stuck to the few good things we did get from his true nature
Tumblr media
Sasuke
I have strong feelings surrounding Sasuke and I’m going to try not to rant. Out of all the Uchiha, I understand his motives the best and his anger towards Konoha is more than justified… but him being continuously shown displaying a lack of communication skills irks me to my core. I also would have been all for movie with more of his POV, but that’s just me. It’s complicated because I either, don’t care or care too much depending on the day/specific grievance 💀
On a brighter note, I think he has one of the best character designs in the whole series
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shisui
A mischievous sweetheart. 1000% deserved better. He also had a horrifying ability that would have been great for a villain and he has the best lashes in Konoha. I like to believe he survived and is living life as a blind old man somewhere leave me alone 😭
Tumblr media
Obito
My Uchiha Husband, you forgot him 😌 sure he’s got a laundry list of problems and he’s a red flag, but I’m an Obito apologist lmao. Unpopular opinion; I don’t think he started a war simply over Rin, I think Rin’s death was just the last straw as he had old man Madara brainwashing him for a good bit. Also he’s the hottest Uchiha imo
Tumblr media
In conclusion; they’ve all done a lot of things wrong, but they weren’t necessarily wrong for feeling the way they did. This is the problem when you’re a lover and fighter 💀

Watched Disney Wish Spoilers below
First i want to start with saying that King Magnifico is probably the highlight of the movie. His characterization is interesting and different from other recent disney villains. He has an arc and his own motivations that are linked to his development in the movie.
Tumblr media
One thing that is interesting is that he starts sort of a good guy that wants to help people to grant their wishes and wants what he believes is the best for his kingdom. This comes from how in his past he lost everything so he wants to others to live well.
But, he is also terribly afraid of losing everything like it happened to him when he was young. As the story progresses he becomes more and more paranoid until he lets himself be corrupted by black (?) magic in attemps to push down everyone who questions him.
And that's great! That's a cool villain arc- a corruption arc- which i feel it is quite rare to see lately. It's a nice way to show how people with good intentions can lose sight of their initial goals over time.
Tumblr media
Now when it comes to Asha... she isn't an unlikeable character but at the same time it feels like she lacks real flaws in the movie. As someone else who watched the movie told me ¨her motivations aren't much different if any other character from the town was put in her place¨. Because, yeah, it feels like there isn't much else to her besides that ¨she cares about her people¨ and ¨she wants the wishes to be given back to their owners¨.
She never has to exactly overcome some flaw of hers in the story aside from not knowing Magnifico wasn't looking for the best interests of the people... which is solved three minutes after she learns about it.
I mean, this has been a problem with other Disney female leads in the last years. The main difference, however, is that they had some form of arc in their respective movies.
Moving on to other characters, they didn't feel that interesting nor memorable. Again, i don't hate them but i didn't care much about them either watching the film. I feel the ones outside King Magnifico i did like were the queen a bit and the star character, they were sort of cute.
On last point in terms of characters, Valentino didn't add anything to the movie. He didn't have some purpose nor added in moving the plot forward. I think the film could worked the same if he wasn't there.
Now to narrative and themes. I got to say that it is all over the place. While the message is there, it feels like the movie doesn't dive too much about it leaving you were more questions than answers. For example, there is one part one of Asha's friends questions why they can't just ask King Magnifico to give their wishes back- something that is never exactly given a proper answer.
The pacing is chaotic as well. The first 30 minutes the film jumped from one plot point to the other, having like 3-4 songs in only one third of the movie. King Magnifico and Asha are seen getting along together in one minute and in the next minute they get into an argument and Magnifico decides to consider her now her enemy. It's like the movie doesn't allow time to let you digest what you are watching because it is already jumping to another important thing.
Tumblr media
On the ¨everyone is made of stars¨ thing, i found it weird and i didn't fully get what they were trying to say with it. I guess it has to do with one having control of its own destiny? I don't know.
I would say that the biggest offense of Wish is how King Magnifico gets defeated... the characters sing a song and supposedly summon their star power and with that alone they defeat the villain. It almost feels like deux ex machima and dissapointing. There were other ways they could have made the same thing work with a better execution.
A lot of the movie feels like there were some productions issues when making it. It feels like there are scenes that are missing and things that were going to be explored in deeper detail that got cut out.
In all, i wouldn't say that i hate this movie... the thing is that it has plenty of issues. Things that should have been better polished and given more detail. There are some interesting things in here, the problem is that more often than not they don't reach its full potential. I would say that Wish is worth of watching for King Magnifico but everything else is forgettable.

Some thoughts on Himerish and Trial of the Oracle
Ok so it's weird that I hardly post anything and now I go with this, but these thoughts are for some reason so pressing to me these days! And this feels like the right space.
tldr: i love 4th arc, I like Himerish's development, but after rereading last week I have some surprising ambivalence about how his warrior identity goes with his previously implied nature - or at least to my view of the character - happy to know anyone's thoughts on that!
Firstly I want to state that I love the stories, and mostly the first 4 arcs! This is just a thought on one character development...
So I belong among the fans of 4th arc, definitely, and I think that most people who have some soft spot for Himerish/Oracle, started to feel so throughout this arc (although I know some did before it was cool!). I always loved that story, that he was confronted with such a downfall, the dramatic almost mythical story of regaining his identity is so awesome, i liked that he cooperated with the guardians as a person, that he realized he was too removed from the world after all the time...
Last week I got this sudden fanfic inspiration (it's cringe, but I struggle to be creative for years, so my 7 pages are a huge cheery win!) and so I reread the story... and it's so great, but I have some odd feelings about some parts..
I think it is mostly about him being a warrior.
So. The first notion that felt off was in the issues from his coming to earth to the fight of Phobos + Cedric, when I suddenly felt like what is his almost never leaving resting bitchface? There are some really nice mentor moments, but most of the time he seems strangely annoyed without specific reason. Now in the previous arcs, he was not very popular, for he was indeed a terrible pr*ck, intentionally in arc 3, possibly intentionally in the previous ones ( but i don't know that, his behaviour always seemed to be somehow explained or something, even if the reader didnt have to buy it..) but what i did like was his serenity and at times his appearance of a lightness of heart that calmed everyone.. (that is, in moments when he wasn't a pr*ck) suddenly here Himerish is a dynamic warrior, always angry fighting etc etc - like he was serene and wise only because he was an oracle and it was his function, and not that he was chosen to be an oracle, because he was such in his nature in the first place, which i would like much better.
But! In the flashback with Endarno, that is, to my mind, exactly what Endarno implies! H. is a fighter in a war here and E. saves his life saying he senses a great power in H. and that he should act on it - then in the following flashbacks it's like H. went and became a cool martial arts master... and it just feels sort of... why...
(note: i presume that the flashbacks went in this order, bc E. calls Himerish "young asha (tribe name)")
my problem may be that I am not as much into warrior trope, as Im into powerful spiritual being trope... and also im probably too much of a hippie
But the first flashback actually looks like there would be more beyond! Endarno literally goes against his own commander, as H. is from the enemy tribe and is a captive to be executed. And it is said that E. already had doubts, even though he was a great warrior, bc his boss was very cruel, but it is meeting Himerish that gives him the final motivation to stand against the meaningless bloodshed! Implying that H. has definitely a hippie vibe... and H. also gives this impression, bc he's so serene and passive when they aim to kill him (although that may be some basiliadian feature dunno..) but.. then he goes to be just a better fighter.. like don't they have any other kind of spiritual power in Basiliade than becoming a cool warrior??
I mean, I liked Orube-Luba flashbacks very much, where Luba was the wise warrior mentor and it was cool. But we don't get anything like that with Himerish, right? He's just shown to have been really cool at fighting. Yarr is just really crazy about him as his former master, as if he was truly a different kind of being, but there is no word then about him being also a spiritual mentor.. maybe it is just not shown, but then - why not?
when i saw the first flashback, i sort of thought it would have been better, if H. was actually a hippie in his heart - maybe even against the custom of Basiliade. He said E. helped him a lot - so couldn't it be that this young guy who fights like everyone else does, then realizes he could just stop doing that and work out his inner spirit and power that has the nature of peace and connection, instead of fighting? I really really doubt that the Kandrakar council would have gone like - this guy is cool with sword, let's make him oracle. He must have had some other power before and I'm kind of sorry that they didn't work with it somehow... I'm also not so much into his warrior attire hehe
Now to go a full circle, I associate this type of wisdom actually with his nice and light-hearted mode and not so much with angry fighter mode.. he was angry before when something bad happened to Kandrakar, but that was different, then when he couldnt admit his mistakes, that was foreshadowing of his downfall, but his fighting mode was just so strange to me.. what's with the sword, do some magic and restore the peace of Kandrakar after your return, bc the peace and stability and light powers are your nature and not just your politcal function..
then again i admit that while i didn't like much what they did to his character in the following arcs, i could understand his departure.. so the described reason seemed like all his change was to nothing, for he again just didnt listen to anyone despite his former promises, but i could see another reason in line with arc 4, and that is actually his change, he became too human (or whatever species he is) and maybe it was even difficult for him to return to the position - bc this is literally shown at the end of arc 4 when he's contemplating before being reinstated.. and i like that.. cause im kinda very much into spiritual beings becoming human tropes.. or like generally emotionally repressed people rediscovering life..
Well, I get that some people really like warrior trope, so no hate, fandom is a free space yeah! Anyway, these were my thoughts, Im impressed you scrolled this deep, thank you! Tell me your thoughts on this pls Im happy to find more people to discuss witch to an unhealthy level! As a bonus, my two favourite memes/fanarts about H.'s earthly clothes:

Tumblr media
(source: https://www.deviantart.com/rukietta89/art/Shopping-with-Orube-97101177)
EDIT: ok i posted this like half an hour ago, but i got a sudden feeling that i was not entirely fair, so i want to say that i also feel that his conective and calming spirit shows up in those really nice mentor moments towards the guardians, although that doesn't go really against my original interpretation/headcanon - he was a confused young boy with a talent, now he's a mature, more steady guy with a talent, regaining understanding of life in 4th arc, which, ideally, would make him even more sensitive and calming, and that would be cool

The Inx: Jinx's Great and Terrible Devotees in Spite of Conv/rgence
The most annoying thing about Conv/rgence as a game is that it introduces great concepts, like the Inx, but just fumbles the execution of them and the overall story.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Conv/rgence the Inx are a new chempunk gang of Zaunite teens and young adults that idolize and borderline worship Jinx to the point where they're said to spread chaos in her name. But the Zaun that Conv/rgence establishes tells a different story about the Inx from the intended description.
Tumblr media
The first time the Inx appear is in the Conv/rgence comic, where the lead members like Chadd play at the Triumph Festival. It's supposed to be a Zaunite festival to celebrate Jayce's defeating Viktor, the Machine Herald. If the Inx follow Jinx's lifestyle why would they even play at such an event to celebrate a Piltovan, and why would Zaunites think the Inx wouldn't make trouble over it? I could go on about how weird it is for Zaun to host a festival to celebrate Jayce, a Piltovan champion for a fight unrelated to them and their wellbeing, but that would take too long.
Tumblr media
For people who admire Jinx's boldness, the best they can do in the comics is pretty harmless vandalism where they just graffiti Jinx's monkey tag over some walls. The Inx are also nowhere to be seen in major events like the Scraptown Run, which apparently all Zaun gangs participate in.
Tumblr media
Then there's members like Moshpit Meg. Meg's a diehard Jinx fan that loves Jinx's attitude and dedication to explosions. Before that Meg was admired Vi, the enforcer, because Vi's gauntlets reminded Meg of her own naturally big fists and it made her feel less self conscious about her own hands. That second half begs too many questions I don't have time for.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Outside of aesthetic choices there isn't really anything about the Inx that says they're people who stake their identity around Jinx. This is largely because Conv/rgence's universe works hard to sanitize Zaunite grievances against Piltover which directly undermines the central class conflict between Zaun and Piltover. It also largely impacts the motivations and general existence of characters like Jinx and the people who follow her, like the Inx, because they wouldn't exist in the absence of Piltover's oppression.
To avoid addressing any real conflict between the two cities the Inx are only vaguely make sense in the story, especially the game. All except for one element, Chadd. I need to say this...
Chadd is Accidentally (on Purpose?) Great
Tumblr media
The brief moments the audience gets to know Chadd's character gives us an interesting glimpse at the people Jinx inspires.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first thing we know about Chadd is that he's a musician, and it's neat trait that connects him to the musical roots of Jinx's character. In League, Jinx was the first champion in League to debut with a music video. It was through Jinx's character that Riot and Fortiche begun experimenting League with music. So it's very fitting that Convergence creates a chorus of sorts for Jinx to continue that musical tradition. To add to that, the game's promo posters decided to reestablish Jinx's connections by making her a talented karaoke singer.
Tumblr media
The next thing to know about Chadd is that he was the one who planne and organized the Inx to transform a rundown theatre into an airborne concert arena. Red, Ekko's close friend and romantic interest in the game, confirmed that it was Chadd who was the one to make it happen, within a week too. It's an impressive creative feat that's clearly in homage to "Get Jinxed's" aerial imagery. Despite how cool a stunt that was I couldn't see how it was meant to impress Jinx, she was the most destructive thing in the theater... until I read the transcript "Hold me like a Fermata".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A shotgun, a flame thrower... who's funeral were you planning Chadd!??!? Just for context this was a transcript Ekko found of Chadd and the Inx talking about a new weapon (and sound system?) Chadd seemed to have made. I'm sure Chadd was the one who made it because the Fermata is also the name of a musical note that represents a pause (sometimes dramatic) in a score.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you're familiar with music you might also know that the Fermata has more than one name, it's also referred to as "the Cyclops Eye". That kind of reference to Silco used on a weapon for a later act to honor Jinx couldn't have been lost on the writers because the Eye of Zaun was already found on an Inx hangout.
Tumblr media
When I finally noticed all these details I finally got that Chadd is dangerously devoted to Jinx. All the points in his character can only lead us to conclude the real plan wasn't to just play obnoxiously loud music when the theater reached Piltover's heights, it was to destroy Piltover with all the weapons they equipped on it. That's the best idea I can come up with because Jinx immediately throws bombs at their plan to cause havoc in Piltover... for reasons. It does match Jinx's track record at least, usually other dangerous or apathetic champions tend to appreciate her, like Urgot, Renata Glasc, and Khada Jhin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even Chadd's concept art communicates that he's probably more devoted to Jinx than rest of the Inx. The way his early design evolves to reflect Jinx's influence could even tell a story. The more this douchey glam rocker finds inspiration in Jinx the more he changes himself and his art to reflect Jinx's impact. Chadd grows his hair out, wears his tattoo of Jinx in the same place she wears hers, and even dresses more like her, but he still retains his own diva personality.
One last thing, the funniest thing about Chadd is the fact that both Ekko and Red seperately ask him to explain himself and what "statement" he's trying to make with the Inx. Chadd just flat out refuses to answer, and even breaks up with Red over that. I thought he was being douche (he was), but then I remembered Jinx doesn't explain herself in game either about the mayhem she causes, she just taunts anyone who asks. The student learns from the master I guess.
Tldr: In the Converegence game and comics the Inx are characterized by mild vandalism and pretentious artists. And I could almost get behind that idea if only Convergence wasn't so heavily biased towards Piltover the dynamics of a group like the Inx could have had a more interesting exploration in their motivations and goals. Also, Chadd is a dipshit and he makes a great follower of Jinx!

I loved "Speak No Evil (2024)"! (Spoilers)
I'm not a professional anything but I like things sometimes and I need places to talk about these things before I explode. Today this thing happens to be "Speak No Evil (2024)".
[Short disclaimer: I haven't seen the original. I'm sure it's great but I'm just not the person to watch movies without the explicit motivation to and I don't want to watch the original because I'd have an awful time if I forced myself to. Especially just to make a point on tumblr. The movie is a stand-alone thing for me so I'll treat it as such.]
I loved the characters. James McAvoy as Patrick is creepy but I feel like the scariest thing about him is that you fall for his trap while you see it being set up. Even early on, he's very harsh and downright unlikeable at times but he's also so very nice, funny and inviting. Then you know how awful he is and even when he was terrible just a moment ago, for a second you believe him when he says something heartfelt or supportive. It feels like it plays with the naiveté of the viewer and I like that - fits the 'playing with your pray' motiv.
In general, I liked the whole hunting theme. It was kind of unhinged and set a nice consistent overarching tone. A wonderful mix of thrilling, uncomfortable (in a good way) and weirdly funny.
Louise and Ben, the couple that came to visit the "bad family" as my seat neighbour put so eloquently, are amazing. I legitimately think that them working with and through their communication and marital problems was a main hook for me, which I didn't expect. Just cleverly written and interesting to watch. Many little moments and nuances were what made them great. I also love Louise defending her family with all means necessary. Using the app in the wardrobe, calling the shots when everyone else is panicking and straight up pouring acid over a guy? That's cool.
You never loose the impression that they are absolutely scared out of their minds but they're not dumb either. At the same time it made sense that they stayed. I love how those three factors didn't contradict one another.
Ciara was amazing. Convincing in every role: As a victim, as a person that was forced to do harm and as a person that's actively harming. Again, very nuanced and so interesting to dissect.
And the really gut wrenching scenes, for me, were the ones with the Children, Ant and Agnes. You're constantly scared for them and on edge but the movie uses them in the right moments and it hits. The reveal and the brick scene come to mind.
Now, I don't usually watch things that I probably won't like (except for that one time when I watched the "Cats" movie) and I usually don't like movies with horror elements ('cause I'm weak) but I had a really good time with this! The premise is interesting and the execution (lol) was great. It's a very entertaining movie. I could probably talk about certain scenes for hours but I won't bore you with that.
Can't wait to see it with the original audio when the blue ray comes out! I watched it in German.
Rating things is neither my forte nor do I think that it's very practical when it comes to the movies I watch soooo this one gets a 10/10 for forever changing my associations with the song "Eternal Flame" in the weirdest way possible.
[I feel like I haven't talked about James McAvoy's performance enough: He's so good. Somebody described his acting in this as a force of nature and I agree. It's a good movie in general but I feel like his performance made it special. I might be biased because he is my favourite actor but I give him that title for a reason.]
Anyway, have a nice day! Stay hopeful, healthy and try to avoid nice looking serial killers if at all possible.

Hello, Hello! I go by the name MUTT. Other's may know me as CROW, but I am very embracing the silly Bwark Bwark mentality here folks. A lil cute, a lil silly, a lil goofy. I'm your friendly Non-binary pal. I use the pronouns They/He.
+ - + - + - + - + - + - + - +
I have ADHD and Autism, thus auDHD hit my ass like a truck. I can slip up and forget stuff a lot. Get super hyper-focused on something and then lose all motivation for it in what feels like a single snap. I also have terrible Executive Dysfunction which often limits what I can do. Though I push on through!- Depression, Social Anxiety, Maladaptive Daydreaming start sliding in with Sliding_Concrete.mp3 playing. ( ;+_+)

I'm putting this right here, PROSHIPPERS/SUPPORTERS OF PROSHIPPERS ARE NOT WELCOME HERE! Please don't interact with my stuff, I'm asking nicely. I don't wanna be around you and you probably don't wanna be around me. All proshippers I run into/find will be blocked.
Tumblr media
Besides all that, currently I've fallen down a good few rabbit holes. Specific ones would be:
- UNDERTALE (Multiverse specific) - SANS AUS + PAPYRUS AUS
Other things have my interest but they're small. Little things that pop up every now and then and I go "Ooo, Cool!!" Focus on them for a bit, and then drop em. *Sadg (u_u )

Ouma Kokichi (Joker) on Bias
So obviously I was never around to witness the trial. That's a given. And every time there was a trial, Ran-chan was there. That's how the time loops worked. If he was dead already when it happened, my death would have been the one to reset the loop, and so there would never have even been a trial to my knowledge. But that's a lie, since I don't remember loops anyhow and ultimately besides the point.
I have, however, seen the game and how the canon here goes.
And I'm not surprised in the slightest.
I will fully admit that I expected this to happen. I set up these dominoes for myself. I knew Saihara-chan and the others were so ingrained in the mechanisms of the game and that Monokuma was desperate enough that it would be inevitable for him to rely on the Talent of the Ultimate Detective to get out of the mess I'd made for him and they would just accept it because as far as they were concerned, Monokuma was the god of this world.
I wouldn't be surprised if the first time this happened, it went almost exactly like this with the exception of Ran-chan's presence (and the fact he sabotaged it, but I'm not in the mood to elaborate on that).
It's just a fact of the bias I set up. I'm a liar. I'm a cheat. While I'm not proud of the narrative I was complicit in letting Shirogane set up for poor Gokuhara as the easily-manipulated idiot, it absolutely served its purpose to cast an even worse light on me in the end.
That's what I wanted. I needed them to believe I was the mastermind, and in the event of my death, that they would be so biased towards my "malice" that they would not possibly be able to conceive of an outcome where I was the one under that press and Momota was the one in that Exisal.
That of course doesn't mean I had to like it.
It's laughably easy to tip the scales of bias when you know how. That's what lying is best for. Kind lies, cruel lies, they're all lies at the end of the day to the average person, and to the average person lies are bad. If you're known to be the boy who cried wolf right from the start, then people will just assume your only goal is to cause as many problems as possible just for your own amusement.
I don't usually broadcast myself as a liar, actually.
But that's also a lie.
It helps weed out the people with biases like that. Helps me find the people who understand the nuances behind motivation. Helped me curate my organization in a way that benefited the disenfranchised.
Not that the others would believe me. Because they know me as a liar, and liars are bad people so that means anything good I say must be a lie because why would a bad person who lies have anything good to say?
Even though I lost my cool and the mask cracked for a minute before Gokuhara's execution, they ate up my villain speech afterward like ravenous dogs. Do you know why? Because it fell in line with their bias. They had already made up their mind about me from the start, and I fed them and fed them and fed them until they had their fill.
It's easy. It's so laughably easy.
If it had been any other situation, I wouldn't have recruited any of them. Not one, except for Ran-chan, who was the only one of the bunch who picked up what I was putting down. But it wasn't any other situation. It was this situation, and I had no choice but to lead this sorry band of prejudiced idiots.
And what better way to string them along than to take advantage of their biases for my contingency plan?
It carried over from loop to loop, too. The disdain. The hatred. Even though no one else remembered the details, the feelings remained. It seemed to compound on itself and grow, more and more with every repeat. After that first time, that was it. I was locked into that role whether I liked it or not.
I made it work, though. I came up with all sorts of crazy ways to use it to my advantage. To steer the group in a particular direction with fear and fear alone. But maybe that's a lie. Maybe I was terrible at it and after that first bout with the press failed, it was all downhill from there.
I hated leading that way, but it had to be done.
But that's a lie, too.
Which part is the lie? Well, that's for everyone else to decide with whatever biases they have.

Rampart's Future
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Listening to Rampart run his mouth without a common-sense filter has been the highlight of my viewing experience over the last couple of episodes. Since Star Wars is built on people changing and becoming more than we thought they could be, I wouldn't be surprised if Rampart not only survives The Bad Batch series finale but also gets something of a redemption.
Tumblr media
It's a classic.
Rampart was made vice-admiral at the end of the Clone Wars. That means he must have already been an officer of rank under the Republic. Given his haughty, self-centered nature, this has all the earmarks of the classic Star Wars nepotism that has gotten many a stuffed shirt into the upper levels of the military. Rampart must come from a wealthy and/or influential family and has likely never had an experience with "real people" a day in his life.
Unfortunately—though clever, patient, and dedicated in his service to the Empire—he wasn't important enough. He was a ready-made scapegoat.
Luckily for him, whether it was family connections or the fact that he didn't personally pull the trigger on Kamino, he was imprisoned rather than executed. Time in a labor camp was probably the best thing that could have happened to him as a character. He now knows what hard work feels like, what it's like to interact with people far below his previous station, and how life really works.
Which is why I can easily see him having a turnaround as a character. He will want revenge on the Empire for what they did to him, but in the process, he will see what things are like on the other side. His need for revenge might eventually lead him to see that the Empire treats EVERYONE as a disposable commodity.
He can't get ahead in a galaxy like that. No one can. His first words in the series, "With peace comes opportunity and prosperity for all," have come back to bite him. "All" includes very few, and he isn't one of them.
He tried being part of the Imperial solution. He could now become an Imperial problem. He's already proven himself useful in that regard by coersion. Who knows what he might help to achieve by choice now that the direction of his life has changed and his motivations have the potential to shift.
Tumblr media
BONUS: Star Wars owes his character a life beyond the finale for allowing this to be his Black Series figure. At least the terrible faces of the clone figures can be hidden under cool-looking helmets. Nothing good can be said of the face of this cross-eyed monstrosity.

🤔🐌 🦖 for the ask game!
🤔 Are there any new characters you want to write about?
Depends on how 3.0 goes. I haven't felt much of anything for a lot of fictional characters (Sunday, I adore him, but I knew part of it would be fleeting because he was new for my brain).
🐌 What is one of your smallest writing goals?
Finishing Remnants. This thing was literally almost entirely written before I revamped it and I have everything just...needing to be assembled. It's small in comparison to tackling Rumors and Vertigo, where my plot is far lengthier and involved.
🦖 Are there any fandoms you wrote for in the past that you'd like to return to?
Some days, I consider writing for City of Love: Paris again. I even started a reader insert for it (based on the main character, who's a self-insert type anyway). The game left so much up in the air and it's an example of 'cool idea but terrible execution but it's Ub*soft, what should I have expected?' Same goes for Loki, for HP, for Hellsing. The thoughts are there but the motivation isn't. I don't think I ever could, really. In the same way that I wrote so much for Zhongli but don't anymore. It's not that I don't love the thing but that my love has taken a different shape, if that makes sense. Eventually, I'll be in that position with my current obsessions, too.

What's your opinion on the Leongar/Beast Pack hate that has surfaced in recent months?
i certainly understand why some might've not been huge fans of them but i feel like a lot of strong "hate" is honestly unwarranted.
a lot of people criticizing them approach em from the wrong angle and ignore that a lot of the same trappings they have can be applied to antagonistic fractions from the past, while also ignoring things that beast pack, perhaps, did better than any other opposing force in kirby.
they actually FEEL like a themed group of characters opposing kirby, instead of just "main villain + 1-3 henchmen" like in previous modern games.
there's enough variety in common mook soldiers as well as each of the high ranking generals stand out in both design and function (with all due respect to mage sisters but i honestly don't get what is their hierarchy in relation to each other except that zan is the "leader" i guess?). gorimondo gathers resources, forgo dedede and sillydillo are responsible for search and capture, clawroline is responsible for investigating areas. their characterization is also strongly defined by their animations and fighting styles, which make them feel way more distinct from each other
but most importantly, the thing with beast pack, even if this can come across as a cop-out to some. ...but they aren't really bad guys. they are nice people. err. animals. stuck being manipulated by bigger bad. the fact that they don't have "strong motivations" or "cool style" or whatever seems deliberate to me. they are thrown together because they are just a bunch of animals puppeteered by bigger bad.
and this brings me to the most overhated aspect of beast pack of all. leongar. leongar is SO hated on and i just. don't get it? the most common argument i've seen is that "he's way less interesting than haltmann and hyness despite forcing us to care about him more than either". and i don't get it.
haltmann is boring as shit. people care about him because of his funny sob sob backstory that is not pronounced in the main story at all. the only reason you would want to give a shit about him is to read a bunch of flavor text.
hyness is admittedly more memorable than either haltmann or leongar, but the way his character was handled in star allies is atrocious. he's at first portrayed as abusive jerkwad obsessed with his religion and cult without any redeeming qualities and then boom somehow we should care about him and mages being saved and given second chance, for some reason? and with mages it's a bit easier to sympathize due to it being shown that hyness treats zan terribly, but game gave me 0 reasons to believe that hyness should be spared or redeemed in any shape or form.
say what you will about leongar and beast pack, but:
leongar is by far simpler yes, but also way less messy, his tragedy is easy to understand and is actually shown. he's a good person stuck in bad circumstances he didn't really deserve. he is not a villain on his own accord, he never had bad intentions, he was simply manipulated into whole plot by id-f86.
we actually have more of a reason to care about saving him because beast pack is SHOWN to be genuinely good via credits images and info that clawlroline nurtured him to health while he was unconscious after closing the portal between two worlds. kirby is not just being kind but also repaying them a favor.
of course, people can dislike them for whatever reasons they choose. this is just my personal two cents on the matter. i think game definitely could've executed their story better. but as it stands i think it's still good enough.

MOCHI. (Hops into your asks) THIS CHAPTER MOCHI. WAS SO GOOD.
EVERYTHING ABOUT FWHIP. I CAN FEEL THE FRUSTRATION BEHIND HIS MOTIVATION. I CAN FEEL THAT HE'S TRYING HIS BEST TO JUST GET THE COUNCIL TO LISTEN BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN.
But he's still so mysterious!!! What is going on???? /Pos what kind of way does he have to save himself from Ancient Magic????
And the flowers???? And REGULAR ROPES???? Why??? What for???? So many questions.
Also, ANCIENT MAGIC???? So cool. So cool so cool so cool.
Cleo continues to slay good for her good for her. As she should. (She's just sitting there) She's slaying.
Also concerned about that arrow wound of Mumbo's still. Mans needs to actually get that looked at soon. It STILL HASN'T HEALED AUHHHHHHH!!!!
Also Scott. Scott. /Derogatory (/not really /pos) Also gotta say while I'm at it how much I love how you write antagonists, like Scott and ans Fwhip and even Scar. I love how mysterious and intriguing Scott and Fwhip are in different ways, although with Scott he's just an asshole and Fwhip's antagonistic actions almost feel like they're for a good cause? I mean we still haven't seen a lot of Fwhip but the way he was suddenly dropped in as like a surprise antagonist fits so well, like he's been slowly simmering and slowly snapping in the background because half-bloods and humans have been dying and he's been trying to get the Council just to listen but they won't. It's so good because Fwhip's been stewing and cooking in the background for months and we never even knew. You write antagonists so well.
Also with Scott and his fucking bat familiar that I feel like has been just watching them the whole time, considering that summoning his familiar didn't set off any flowers- the way that bat just sets itself down on Scar's shoulder so casually and without care like- like Scott still owns Scar and he knows it. The bat reminds me of a controlling person setting their own hand on someone's shoulder as a means of control and it just gives me the vibes of "you still belong to me no matter how hard you try to escape"
Scott and Scar and Martyn is something I am looking forward to a lot next chapter. ❤️❤️ Thank you for this banger Mochi
WAHHHHHH SOBS AT YOU
I'm soso glad that fwhip's frustration and his desperation comes through so clearly ;w; because that's the whole point of it all, isn't it? fwhip isn't doing any of this to be evil or cause the council some pain (well--) he's doing this because he's tired of being scared and he feels like this is the only way he can get the council to listen. but then yeah !!! he's still such a mysterious figure with so many secrets
so many questions and things to consider !!!! :3c I'm sure mumbo's arrow wound is totally fine though. mmmmhm, completely and totally fine yes
but also I'm sobbing at you AGAIN 🥺💕💕 I honestly love writing scott and fwhip and scar (ofc) soso much. I love looking at character motivations and what drives them and then writing them as antagonists (or villains, in scott's case) it's so much fun. scott is a slimy bastard who's only out for himself and his own goals (whatever those may be) and he's confident about it. he's not afraid to twist someone's arm to get what he wants and we've seen him do it so many times. he knows his strengths and weaknesses
and then there's fwhip who is kind of doing all of this for a good cause. his execution is terrible, but when you back an animal into a corner, they lash out, don't they? and fwhip is tired of being backed into a corner. he's baring his fangs and fighting. I'm so glad that even though he kind of appears out of nowhere he still fits really well in the story. like you said, he's been simmering in the background, addressing an issue that's been going on for months without us knowing until right now
and scar... oh scar... we already know how I could talk about that man for ages
I really do love writing antags and villains, there's so many fun things I can do and have happen and motivations I can explore and hehehe. also their dialogue is just REALLY fun to write. I have such a blast writing fwhip and scott especially. and scar, when he gets to be a little evil, as a treat
AND HEHEHE YESSSS SCOTT'S BAT FAMILIAR >:D I won't say that he's been watching them for the whole time, but.... well, let's say he had a feeling they'd all show up. though that does bring up two questions: how did scott summon his familiar without setting the flowers off? and a question I'm surprised no one has asked yet: how does scott know how to deal with the flowers? :)
I loooove the image of the bat landing on scar's shoulder. it's truly such a powerplay from scott, to show scar that he's still got some control, some leverage in one way or another. and right now, he has the upper hand because they need to rely on him if they want to make it out alive and hehehe that just frustrates scar sooooooo much
next chapter is definitely gonna be one hell of a ride and I cannot wait. it's def gonna be a long one, even crazier than the previous chapter. and there's... well... a certain event at the end that I'm quite looking forward to :3
uwawawa thank you for reading the chap and sending in an ask ;w; <3333
